Policy Statement

It is the policy of PRYAA to promote the development of strong character, the right attitude, a sense of responsibility, and citizenship in youth sports. It is the purpose of PRYAA to achieve this goal through fair play, good sportsmanship, and congenial fellowship, with adult leaders providing the example.  We will always put our children first, resulting in the physical, mental, social, educational, and spiritual growth of child, parent and community.

Code of Conduct

It is strictly against the policy of PRYAA for any person, either as a participant, coach or a spectator to engage in arguments, to use abusive or inappropriate language, to harass or make any threatening gestures towards umpires, referees, coaches, players or league officials or to exhibit any behavior not in concert with the general intention of this Park. Failure to abide by these policies will result in game suspensions and/or removal from the park.

Any further incidents may result in permanent suspension from PRYAA. Any players, coaches, parents or umpires caught fighting or found consuming any controlled substance will be suspended from league play or participation in any capacity for an amount of time to be determined by the respective Sports Board.

Dates

Practices for the 2012 Spring season will begin on January 17th. Games start on February 4th. A season is comprised of 8-10 games (weather depending). We do not play the two weekends at the beginning and end of spring break. The single elimination, season ending tournament will complete by May 12th.

Practices

Spring 2012 Practices will be held at Peachtree Ridge Park, 3170 Suwanee Creek Rd, Suwanee, GA.  The practice schedule will be:

Monday and Wednesday

Bantam Boys 6-7:30
Lightning Boys 6-7:30
Junior Girls 7-8:30

Tuesday and Thursday  

Junior Boys 6-7:30
Senior Boys 7:30-9:30 (Two hour practices)
Senior Girls 7:30-9:00  

Gwinnett Lacrosse League

We are a founding member of the Gwinnett Lacrosse League. The GLL is comprised of 11 Associations. Boys and girls are placed on teams based on scholastic grade level.   The current plan is for the following classifications (although they are subject to change due to registration levels across the GLL).

Senior Division - 7th and 8th graders not to exceed 15 years of age as of June 1st, 2012
Junior Division - 5th and 6th graders not to exceed 13 years of age as of June 1st, 2012
Lightning Division - 3rd and 4th graders not to exceed 11 years of age as of June 1st, 2012
Bantam Division - 1st and 2nd grade not to exceed 9 years of age as of June 1st, 2012
